About the Album
This collection originated from film and TV projects that had fallen through.
I've done a fair amount of scoring work over the years. This ranges back to 2008, when I was writing for an ad house, to later working directly on Film and TV projects and movie trailers. I enjoy working in these mediums. It's very different from trying to express something with lyrics. It feels very freeform in comparison.
But in my experience, projects involving budgets, large crews and tons of opinions are more likely to never see completion. Over the years, I wound up with lots of pieces attached to abandoned projects, or the creative side simply passed on what I made. I put together this compilation thinking maybe these pieces could find new homes. Perhaps other filmmakers could see more value in them.
I made the collection royalty free for anyone working on an independent level. I've been sent a lot of cool projects that made use of these songs since putting this collection out, so I'm glad I did. You never know who, or what, you might inspire if you just make things available.
I won't be doing liner notes on the individual tracks, because some were for projects I can't talk about. But I tried to use pieces that didn't need any context to enjoy.
